Jeffrey K. Van Nest is a veteran trial attorney and dedicated public servant with decades of experience protecting people. His unique approach to delivering justice for his clients is the result of a systematic method of unearthing high-impact cases within discrete business sectors, identifying the causes of structural wrongs, and creating cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results. His practice is heavily influenced by skills he learned at the Trial Lawyers’ College, an invitation-only immersive program founded by legendary attorney Gerry Spence to nurture an elite group of lawyers dedicated to protecting the right to trial by jury and who represent ordinary people and their families in claims against corporations, insurance companies, and the government.
Over the course of more than two decades in government service, Jeff’s legal career has been defined by protecting people and saving lives. Rising through the ranks of the FBI from Special Agent to Chief Division Counsel, Jeff regularly led fast-paced, high-impact global investigations where people’s lives were at stake. As a Navy lawyer, he counseled, advised, and defended Sailors and Marines charged with serious crimes. Jeff has deep experience in the US Intelligence Community (IC) including award-winning service as an Operations Attorney detailed to the National Security Agency. His work within the IC shapes his methodical approach to identifying and cultivating high-stakes cases today.
